Description: The "AK Road system" refers to the state-maintained highway network in Alaska, comprising various highways, interstates, and other roads that connect major cities and communities. The system includes well-known routes like the Alaska Highway, George Parks Highway, and the Seward Highway, as well as lesser-known routes like the Denali Highway and the Dalton Highway. The RD “On Road Areas” data layer includes areas identified by RD served by a road system. All other areas are considered to be “Off Road Areas.”
